Kylor
Privacy Policy
Effective Date: April 29, 2026
Kylor is a creative photo collage app built to help you turn everyday photos into expressive, one-of-a-kind visual art. We built this policy to be fully transparent about what data we collect (and what we never access), how we use it, and how we keep your creative work secure at all times.
1. Information We Collect
We only collect the minimum amount of data needed to deliver and improve your Kylor experience, and we never access content you store exclusively on your local device:
- Optional Account & Sync Data: If you choose to create an account to back up your collage projects, sync work across devices, or host a public portfolio, we will collect the email address, username, and project files you explicitly choose to upload to our cloud servers. All local editing work stays on your device unless you opt in to sync.
- Shared Content: When you export high-resolution creations or share them directly to third-party platforms from the app, we do not store copies of these shared files unless you choose to save them to your cloud sync folder.
- Anonymous Usage Data: We collect non-identifiable data about feature usage (such as how often you use shape cropping, layer adjustments, or canvas tools) to optimize interaction fluidity, fix bugs, and build new features that match your creative workflow.
- Crash & Diagnostic Reports: If the app crashes during use, we may collect anonymous error data to resolve issues, which never includes your personal content or identifying information.
2. How We Use Your Information
All data we collect is used exclusively to make Kylor better for you, and we will never use your personal creative content without your explicit written permission:
- Deliver core app features including cloud sync, high-resolution export, and portfolio hosting for users who opt in to these services
- Improve our tactile editing tools, dark canvas performance, and shape library to align with how you create mood boards, social posts, or memory collages
- Send you optional service updates, new feature announcements, or support responses if you have contacted our team
- We will never use your private, unpublished collage projects for AI model training, marketing materials, or any other purpose not explicitly approved by you.
3. Information Sharing & Disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or lease your personal data or creative content to third parties for any reason. We only share data in the following limited circumstances:
- When you choose to publish your work to a public Kylor portfolio, or share creations directly to third-party platforms (these platforms have their own privacy policies, which we do not control)
- With trusted service providers who help us operate Kylor (such as cloud storage providers), who are contractually required to keep your data secure and only use it to deliver services to us
- When required by applicable legal obligations, where we will always attempt to notify you of the request prior to disclosure unless we are legally prohibited from doing so
4. Your Rights & Control Over Your Data
You retain full ownership of all creative work you make in Kylor, and you have full control over any data you share with us:
- You can access, export, or delete all account data and cloud-synced project files at any time through your account settings
- You can opt out of anonymous usage data collection in the app settings at any time, with no impact on your ability to use core editing features
- If you only use Kylor offline with no account, all of your project data and photo content stays stored exclusively on your device, and we have no access to it whatsoever
- You can request that we permanently delete all of your data from our servers at any time, with no retention of copies beyond what is required by applicable law
5. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect any data you share with us, including end-to-end encryption for cloud sync transfers, AES-256 encryption for stored project files, and regular security audits of our systems. That said, no digital security system is 100% impenetrable, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of data transmitted over the internet.
6. Children's Privacy
Kylor is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will immediately delete all associated data from our servers.
7. Policy Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our features or legal requirements. We will notify you of any material changes via in-app notification at least 30 days prior to the new policy taking effect. Your continued use of Kylor after the new policy takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not agree to the updated policy, you may delete your account and all associated data.
8. Contact Us
If you have any questions, concerns, or requests related to this Privacy Policy or your data, you can contact our team at any time at privacy@kylor.app. We aim to respond to all inquiries within 3 business days.
